That's a really great point you made about very few movies coming out. If you wanted to go to a movie, you didn't have this big selection. It was either GWTW or nothing!
Avatar honestly came out at the most brilliant time. During the summer season, there is a different blockbuster each weekend. But within the last few months there has been no big movies other than Avatar. Instead of people losing interest and moving to the next big thing, Avatar continues to stay popular and relevant.
